Outreach

From our doorstep to the ends of the earth.  From our neighbors to people in villages far away, outreach is central to our ministry.  We serve.

On Monday nights in the cold fall and winter months you will find 12 – 15 otherwise homeless people fed and sheltered at Kingsway –Kingsway’s Room in the Inn.  Two to three weeks a year we also host families at Kingsway which are in transition and need housing and food through our participation in Family Promise, a national alternative to splitting families in multiple shelters.  Our Meals on Wheels ministry brings warm nutritious meals to neighbors who are homebound.  Once a year we Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now).

It is a tradition at Kingsway for our youth to travel to towns where they may build ramps, paint complete houses, and hammer sheetrock.  They also encounter others whom they call residents.  They meet new friends.  It is a true experience of being the hands and feet of God. And it is a true blessing for our youth as well.  When you add the outreach projects of Kingsway fellowship groups (Christian Women’s Fellowship and Women In Ministry),  you realize the amazing impact our ministries have on improving the quality people’s lives and meeting their basic needs of food, showers, beds, and Christian companionship.

In 2017 Kingsway outreach activities and projects include:
